About ACC Victoria Online

ACC Victoria Online is located at our ACC Casey campus in Skye (45 minutes south of Melbourne) and will commence operations to deliver online schooling from Year 5-10 in 2025.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

  • Plan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study;
  • Competent in the use of ICT learning platforms, in particular, Canvas;
  • Have the content knowledge and pedagogical practice to engage students in online learning
  • Demonstrate a commitment to improving professional practice through coaching and professional development
  • Provide a child-safe environment in accordance with the child-safe standards;
  • Participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school and always follow the school’s child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures;
  • Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct;
  • Identify and raise concerns about child safety issues in accordance with our Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures, including following the Four Critical Actions for Schools;
  • Ensure students’ views are taken seriously and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives;
  • Model and promote the vision and values of the school;
  • Teach an area of the curriculum to senior year levels and develop online VCE courses for delivery;
  • Maintain records of class attendance and record student progress;
  • Implement effective student management consistent with the school’s strategic plan;
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings as required;
  • Be actively involved in regular staff devotions and prayer.

About the role

Applications are sought from suitably qualified and experienced teachers who are passionate about teaching in an online environment. We are seeking 3 Secondary teachers who will deliver lessons to students from Years 7-10 in 2025. These roles will be either full-time or 0.8 by negotiation only. Secondary teachers may also be called on to teach a few Years 5/6 classes as well, depending on teaching methods and suitability. For suitably qualified and experienced applicants, the opportunity to build online VCE and VCE Vocational Major courses for delivery in 2026 also exists.

We are currently looking for flexible, relational and qualified teachers capable of teaching in at least two of the following methods:

- English

- Mathematics

- Humanities

- Science

- Health and Physical Education

- Language - Mandarin

- Digital and Design Technologies

- Creative and Visual Arts

- Biblical Studies

- Wellbeing and Pastoral Care

Part-time opportunities may be considered.

The position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for identity, rights to work in Australia, and child protection in accordance with CEM policy.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Evidence of the right to work in Australia
  • Proof of identity
  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Clearance status of the Working with Children Check (where applicable)
  • Registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
  • Statements of service from previous child-connected roles
  • References from previous child-connected roles
