Godwin Beach Schools & More

Nestled in the northern fringes of Deception Bay, Godwin Beach offers a serene escape and a breathtaking view of its curving coastline. Just a short five-minute drive from the stunning beauty of Bribie Island, while conveniently located near Caboolture, Godwin Beach is a hidden oasis with access to both peaceful seclusion and scenic wonders. It’s part of the Moreton Bay Regional Council.

History of Godwin Beach

Godwin Beach is named after Charles Godwin (1858-1911) who owned a fish cannery in the area. In 1911, Charles was thrown overboard from his boat and drowned during a storm while he was delivering some salvaged oil barrels to Brisbane. A plaque to memorialise Godwin was erected on Godwin Beach beachfront in 1999.
